Carmarthen CastlePhases 1 and 2Client: Carmarthenshire County Council TACP were appointed to undertake the restoration ad conservation of the southern flank of Carmarthen Castle. The castle, the majority of which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, was restored in two phases due to budgetary and time constraints and comprised the following;
The enhancement works were undertaken using high quality materials respecting both the castle's integrity as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and its visual prominence overlooking the southern road and rail gateways to Carmarthen town. Materials included natural stone, black brick paviers and stainless steel. |
