Highway SchemesTACP have extensive experience of highway design and planning, and have undertaken a wide range of visual and environmental appraisals at all stages of the highway planning process. Detailed environmental impact assessment also forms part of TACP highway work and the practice is fully conversant with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Volumes 10 and 11. Senior members of the practice have considerable experience of public consultation, Public Inquiries and expert witness work. Road scheme commissions include the following;
TACP were also commissioned by the National Assembly for Wales Highway's Directorate to produce a Design Guide to assist the landscaping of roads in lowland areas of Wales. This involved the identification of the primary landscape character areas in lowland areas, together with key design issues. It develops a number of approaches to address these issues and draws together all Government guidance on the subject contained in Volumes 10 and 11 of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges of relevance to Wales. TACP are currently involved in a number of highway commissions as environmental co-ordinators. The practice has particular experience of the preparation and overseeing of environmental action plans. The practice also has expertise of the compilation of environmental employer's requirements inputs into design and build contracts for highway works. |
