A465 Aberdulais - Glynneath Extension

The landscape evaluation and assessment of the extension of nine miles of this major trunk road through the valley of the River Neath.

The commission, executed in a two year period included the design of mitigation measures to incorporate the highway into the landscape. River diversions were also designed at eight locations along the route and a full ecological survey of the area undertaken. Evidence was prepared and presented at Public Inquiry which took place in January 1990.

Landscape implementation is presently being undertaken on site.
