DREAM
Assessments for
Defence Projects
We are pleased to share that TACP (UK) Ltd are able to support clients with DREAM (Defence Related Environmental Assessment Methodology) assessments, a specialist environmental performance framework designed specifically for Ministry of Defence (MOD) new‑build and refurbishment projects.

Assessment Information
DREAM is the MOD’s equivalent to wider industry environmental standards, such as BREEAM. Developed to address the unique nature of defence buildings and ensure that projects meet the requirements of the Government Buying Standard for New Build Construction and Major Refurbishments. It provides a robust, structured way to embed sustainability from concept design all the way through to post‑construction performance.
The DREAM framework covers a range of defence building types, including:
-
Hangars & workshops
-
Kitchen & dining facilities
-
Commercial and technical spaces
-
Living accommodation
-
Mediterranean variants of the above
-
Minor new-build and refurbishment schemes
Assessments are undertaken at 4 stages of the project. Starting with Survey, through Design and Construction to the final Operation.
Whether you're involved in delivering refurbishment of existing MOD assets or planning new facilities, a clear and compliant DREAM assessment supports better decision‑making, risk reduction, and alignment with MOD sustainability expectations.
If your upcoming programme or project could benefit from structured environmental assessment, guidance, or hands‑on support with your DREAM requirements, we’d be happy to help.
Feel free to get in touch for a conversation about how TACP can support your Defence projects.
