Proposed outline package:

  • Permanent full time position

  • A competitive salary circa £30-40K depending on skills, knowledge and experience,

  • A 28-day holiday allowance (including bank holidays), plus 1 additional day per year up to 5 days

  • 2 volunteer days/year

  • Company pension

  • Professional subscriptions paid

  • We will develop a bespoke training package to include on the job training, formal training and CPD as appropriate

 

Key elements of the role include the following:

  • Undertaking surveys to relevant British Standards including BS5837;2012, recommending necessary tree management, and preparing reports to best practice guidance including LANTRA Professional Tree inspections, Arboricultural Method Statements and Arboricultural Impact Assessments.

  • Providing support to the environmental co-ordination and clerk of works teams.

  • Complete site meetings and inspections with clients, contractors/third parties and stakeholders.

  • Develop and help support in house arboricultural and environmental clerk of works development both for team members and business development.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • A Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association, with a minimum RQF Level 4 qualification in arboriculture

  • Demonstrate previous relevant experience in arboriculture.

  • Have a high standard of tree and plant identification, knowledge and tree risk management.

  • Be a strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.

  • Adhere to and understand the importance of health & safety and risk assessment.

  • Understanding of protected trees legislation,

  • Confident in carrying out tree surveys and report writing

  • Proficient in preparing survey plans in AutoCAD, GIS or tree-related software;

  • Have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

  • An ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary environmental team

 

The Principal Arboricultural role will also be required to;

  • Lead business development in the arboricultural sector.
